It was a pleasure to spend some time canvassing in Hyson Green & Arboretum alongside the local ward councillors, Councillor Liaqat Ali and Councillor Sana Nasir, speaking with residents about the issues that matter most to them.
I always enjoy supporting colleagues in other wards. While many of the concerns residents raise, such as community safety, the local environment and access to services, are shared across Nottingham, every ward also has its own unique challenges and priorities. Speaking to residents across the city gives me a broader understanding of the issues affecting different communities and helps me learn from the work being done by councillors in other areas.
