I’m delighted to share some positive news for residents following the completion of road resurfacing works on several streets across Leen Valley.
Over the past few days, Aberford Avenue, Oakwood Drive, Cherrywood Drive and Spine Drive have all been resurfaced, providing a significant improvement to the condition of these roads for residents, motorists, cyclists and pedestrians alike.
These improvements are the result of the hard work and persistence of your local Leen Valley councillors, with Councillor Audrey Dinnell leading on this project through the Streets for People programme. Audrey has worked tirelessly to lobby the Council and make the case for investment in our roads, ensuring that Leen Valley receives the attention it deserves.
Well-maintained roads are about much more than appearance. They improve road safety, reduce damage to vehicles caused by potholes and uneven surfaces, make journeys smoother, and enhance the overall look and feel of our neighbourhoods. Investment in our infrastructure also helps create cleaner, more attractive streets that residents can be proud of.
I’d like to thank everyone for their patience while these works were carried out. This is another example of what can be achieved when local residents, councillors and the Council work together to improve our community.
We’ll continue working hard to secure further investment in Leen Valley and ensure our area remains a great place to live, work and visit.
